9-10-11

One of my favorite couples (they probably don't know this but they have always been one of my favorites) got hitched yesterday, September 10, 2011. Hence the title of this entry.

One of the Rina and Glenn's pre-nup shots!
Totally loved the vintage theme.
I have known Rina and Glenn since forever. We went to the same school for elementary and high school and I have witnessed how they became classmates, to being close friends, to being a couple and just yesterday, I have witnessed them pledge forever.

They have been dating for more or less 8 years...For the last couple of years, I would ask either of them if I would be hearing any wedding bells soon and boy I sure was overjoyed when I finally saw their relationship status on Facebook change from In A Relationship to Engaged, and just last night, Engaged to Married!

I feel so fortunate to have witnessed the wedding. It was beautiful. One of the best weddings I have been to. What makes it more special is the fact that I have been friends with the couple since we were little kids. Rina even pulled down my shorts in front of a lot of people during one game when we were still kids. I cried and run to the nuns out of extreme humiliation! Haha. And Glenn, I had him draw Squall Leonhart ( a character from Final Fantasy 8) in his boxers and holding his gunblade. Good times.

I have always thought that they were perfect for each other since they are both funny and highly creative individuals. They're both always game. I don't think there was ever a dull moment in their relationship.

The wedding was also a mini-reunion of some sort because I got the chance to see and catch up with my friends and classmates from elementary and high school. I haven't seen them in so long but yeah, some things just never change.

Of course, I just had to have a pic taken with the newlyweds!
1st pic: Look how happy Glenn is!
2nd pic: The lovely bride and I. She's just so classy like that.

With the "Revenjers"
I used to hang out with these guys way back elementary
and high school days because  believe it or not,
I was a hardcore gamer back then.
With Gigi (left), who is now a mom of two beautiful kids  and
Celine (right), who flew all the way from the US with her
 fiance to attend the wedding.
After the program proper, it's party time!
People dancing to THRILLER!
The Revenjers..again.
Back in highschool, they have this little notebook filled with
drawings  that they would pass around during class. It's
kinda like they're little role-playing world they like
to call "Revenj". Awesome stuff if you must know.
They coined themselves the Revenjers.

One more groupie shot with the newlyweds before heading home.

It was definitely a fun-filled night! To Rina and Glenn, thank you again for inviting me to the wedding. I said it a lot of times and I'll say it again now, best wishes and congratulations to the both of you! Stay madly in love!
